The Golden Ibis.

Preston Warren Winterbrook III is 29 years old and was born on August 17th. He stands at 5 feet 10 inches and has a rather well toned form that he's proud of. He likes to smirk about it to men who are not as well dressed as he is. He tends to prefer the company of women as he usually goes out of his way to romance them.

Money is definitely my life and who I am because I LOVE it so and so much because its brilliant and it is what moves me. Land owner and son of a politician in an eastern state, he purchases lands from farmers and plots from those who have little money, then sells them to the VC and those wanting larger grounds, for double sometimes triple the cost that he paid for it. Not only that but he swindles people out of money. He’s also a part time gambler. He once said that the game Russian roulette was a fun little game.

He owns lots of tailored suits from across the ocean. Most notably the jewelry he owns. A set of vases that he collected, A painting set that he mixes perfume with. He has a horse and carriage. As for the art set he uses this to make oil paintings of landscapes and such, the perfume ads smell to the mix and when used properly creates changes in the way the painting will appear in it's scents.

Preston is the sort of man that thinks he knows best. He doesn’t like the idea of a woman upstaging him in any way shape or form. To be blunt he’s sexist. A snob to the fullest, he feels that the poor should be neither heard nor seen and thinks that those associating with them are going below their stature. He has little respect for those in authority and likes to think he’s better then everyone.

To be straight he is a prick there is no doubt about that. He’s arrogant and ignorant, and a bit of a bully when it comes to certain things. He won’t rest until he has the attention of others, even if it’s at the expense of another person. He’s not shy about flaunting his wealth and his upper-class nature. He finds people like Robert boring and thinks that idealism is a waist of time.

Opportunistic in ideology he thinks that it’s one man for himself and only himself. If it can be gained he will strive to do just that and use whatever is necessary to get it. Be it blackmail, or other means. He thinks his looks can win over any woman, and will use it to get what he wants, be that women, money, or power. In the end he’s just another arrogant dick head.

Right now he’s residing in the hotel, until a suitable house can be vacated to suit his needs. He tends to like large mansions, and has his eye somewhat on the sheriff’s house because it’s in the centre of a larger area of town, though not too many live there now a they’ve migrated farther out to lands surrounding the city.

Elegance can be for material things because I say so and that's all that matters.

Preston has cheek length blonde hair which he keeps neat by having an ivory brush ready to hand. He’s very ornate in how he dresses and looks. His eyes are blue-green. One thing about the eyes is that one is lazy and when he gets upset the eye will move some giving him an unattractive appearance. When this occurs he will wear an eye-patch for days till the eye resets itself. He prefers to be noted for his tidy appearance than anything else.

Preston makes sure that he has all his clothing pressed and neat when he puts them on and when they’re laundered. He has issues with the scents of soaps - he makes it so that they’re washed with flower pedals. All of his clothing - silk suits, ties, gloves - is usually a very well tailored pair of pants, a matching or contrasting shirt of silk, a double breasted vest that matches, and a jacket that suits the suit. He tends to wear expensive cufflinks, top hats, and shoes. Around his waist is a pocket watch that he never uses but has as a part of the presentation. He has rings which he only wears on certain days of the year and on specific time of the day in the week.

He refuses to wear simple things and would rather have a more solid wardrobe than anything else. True to his form he’s not someone that just simply wears whatever for appearance sake. He needs to have it just so and matching down to his shoes. He dislikes mud and is always cleaning off whatever he has on his shoes or trousers. He also wears gloves when outside and has a cane to walk with, gold topped I might add. He even has his carriage decorated to match what he’s wearing.

Born to a William and Mary Winterbrook, Preston was named after his grandfather, Preston Warren Winterbrook II. His father William is a politician in the east striving to keep things as they are, while his grandfather is an investor in the Victorian Company and looking to marry his son to Augustus’s daughter, thus bringing the company under their family’s control. He sees his grandson as the perfect person to run the company in the future and made sure that the boy was given all that he needed.

Preston as a child liked to torment smaller things. Like cats, birds, rats, and lizards, by pulling at them, prodding them, or mistreating them in other vicious ways. He found this enjoyable and it went on as he got older as he started to torment children that were younger then him. In one case he tried to drown a boy because he felt he wasn’t good looking enough to be around him. Preston’s mother would spoil him rotten by giving him the best of everything. Clothing, toys, food, schooling, and he would in turn act like a brat if he didn’t get what he wanted. It got so bad that to a point his tutor actually gave up and left.

As a teenager, Preston went to a boarding school where he met up with a group of other boys. They would bother and pester the town, stealing and vandalizing places and taking things for the fun of it. Preston was liked by the richer boys at his school and he would go down to the local village at night to sleep with some of the women that worked at the stores. When he graduated, he bought off a man whose daughter got pregnant, and acted like they never had an affair.

When he returned home his grandfather apprenticed him with a law firm that dealt with land shares and certificates. While here he learned of how to swindle people out of land by changing the contracts to the point they didn’t understand them. Preston later quit the firm and started his own company that would buy land from owners for a very cheap amount then sell them to the VC for a higher price. In time he started to deal exclusively with the VC until they incorporated his company into there’s. Using his skills Preston started to buy land from farmers, or steal it from them through his knowledge of rental laws and sell it back to the VC.

Outside of this he gambles for fun and profit and uses it as a way of getting a man to sell his deed without having to actually get him to sign the changeover. He wins it in poker games or what have you and then gives it up to the VC with the promise of more land as soon as they pay him a fat check for it.

Perfume
His scent is sweet and bitter, his reason for the sweet comes from his affluence, the bitter for the fact that he likes to indulge in things that are considered below him.
